Nevjoe and nerfGunWarHero Hi guys! I see both of your sides! Joe, you were attempting to provide support, but I agree, settle down a bit! nerfGunWarHero... I know what you are saying. Noone, needs to listen, to dog or cat owners, about how much smarter their animals are. What do you both think.... when you have dogs, that love the birds, and birds that love the dogs? That is the relationship here. Ollie,my dog, guards Sophie, when she is tethered to me to go outside and garden. (her favorite thing!) Ollie knows to "guard", and warns of impending danger, such as a hawk! Ollie shares his chicken every morning with Sophie, Sophie throws down peanuts to Ollie! Sophie will walk out in the morn... a game of chase between the two! They are best friends! Sophie will tell Ollie, "time to go outside", he will run to the door! Different animal kingdoms, can work it out, and become the best of friends. It did take alot of work to get here. Ollie as a pup, was taught by a senior Lhasa Apso, who spent several months teaching Ollie the ropes. Once my friend Max (age 18), felt Ollie was ready.... he let me know, he was ready, to retire. He died peacefully in his sleep. I know he kept going, as long as he could, to make sure HIS best friend, Sophie, was safe. GOD bless Max! Nancy M
