Actually Betsy, he need the wings that were poorly cut tapered so that they do not bother him as others grow in. Afte their "beauty shop" treatment, Herbert's new outdoor "condo" will have arrived ! He has been using qweekie (my cockatiels) first cage as an outdoor cage.  He is going to go NUTS with his new one! We have been having such fun going out in the late afternoon/early evenings. After his regular dinner tonight he ate a bunch of papaya,1/4 of an ear of corn, half a hot pepper and some lettuce as well as a quarter slice of wheat bread and an avi cake! He was in heaven .. singing, hanging like a bat ... was great !

Tito likes to climb up on my head too, he just sits there and stares at the top of my head when he wants to get up there. Too cute

This is where we got Herbert's new outdoor condo. This was the actual cage we bought last Saturday .. It just came fed ex today - very fast shipping. It is a large outfit. They have these deals all day long ... 9.99 (or whatever the bid goes to. They have so many, you are assured at getting it at the minimum price) + 134.99 shipping. Isn't that strange? Anyway .. it is real.

Granted, i have looked and looked and looked. We were trying to get a nice cage in Delaware on eBay .. but this guy really was wanting too much money. This was the best deal we found as we simply wanted something larger and sturdy with a dome top so bat-boy can hang upside down. It did have a couple of bent bars and the cups needed to be toyed with in order to have them fit into the door, but .. other than that, it was just fine. Could not beat the price and it is sturdy. I can't say i know the maker of the cages. All makes say they are "safe" in terms of the powder coating. Herbert does not chew so the surface is hard.

In anycase, it works Smiley He was using Qweekies first cage (a cockatiel cage) for outdoors, but tonight he thought he was in HEAVEN! He was shocked when i brought him in that he actually has an indoor home now and an outdoor home ! Smiley That made him even happier!
