Being too chicken to build a gym myself (and also having several fractures in my spine from rock climbing). I like the natural looking one that have hooks for hanging toys. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=27050010697
The top of my Grey's cage is mayde 3' from the ceiling, so I asked this guy to make me a model that height:
I like how tangled and challenging it looks Smiley

My only question, though, is what woods you all consider the best? I've heard loads about manzanita(sp?), but some people seem to use dried vines, and other stuff. Thoughts? Opinion? Please? Kiss

If I'm going to buy ,not build and not end up with sticker shock at a price over $300, what wood do you prefer?

There are so many options out there it make my head spine Exorcist-style.

I remember sometimes back Alicat has posted a picture of the gym she has made for poppy, try to find that out and get some carpenter to make it for you. I don't think it will cost you much.

We had a downed apple tree (dwarf) on our property and my husband debarked it,removed the membrane, sanded it and bleached it for Mia.  It was some work but she loves it alot.  We hang some of her favorite toys from the many branches and have added two bowls so she can have access to water and food.  Jamies also making me a small table top stand so she can be with me at my desk without climbing all over the keyboard while I type.  Shes very curious and wants to know what my hands are doing and why she cant do the same.
