I just wanted to share my experience with A&E Cage company. I ordered a large cage for my new baby that is coming home soon. The cage is 4 feet by 3 feet and then about 5 feet tall with a playtop that also goes on top of it. Needless to say this cage was not cheap!
The first of March when the cage was ordered- I get a call from the lady in denver that did the actual ordering for me (you as a private ind. can't order directly from A&E Cage) saying that the cage had been delivered to her0 instead of me. So I get in the car and take a day off of work to go and pick up the cage - round trip it is a 6 hour drive from my house to hers- and it cost me over $70 in gas. When I get to her place she tells me that A&E cage decided to deliver the cage to her - and guess what it saved ME $110 = BIG DEAL- I just missed a day of work!
We get the cage loaded and I start the treck back home- once I get home and get the cage unloaded and start to put it together. It is all banged up really bad banged up- bent wire top and bottom grates that are so warped the won't go in with out major muscle. And to top it of I am missing screws to put the cage together and food cups!!!!

I asked the lady to ask A&E cage if they would take $150 off the cage so I could go and buy the new parts that are needed. I guess that they said no- but they were going to ship a whole new cage
It is now the middle of May and I just finially got the cage- once again they didn't deliver it to me- Rick who is in charge at A&E CAGE even knew my own personal schedule (mind this is without ever talking to me) he even arranged a date that I could meet the trucker at a gas station!! I thought that this was incredibly nice of him to do considering that I had to work that day.
I ened up haveing my dad take a day off of work and have the cage delivered to his house- about 2 hours after the cage was delivered to him- I get an email from the lady that placed my order saying that the cage is going to be coming to her (this is per RICK from A&E CAGE) and I would have to drive and pick it up from her. Talk about lack of communication!

To this day I still have not recieved a return call from Rick at A&E Cage- I just want to give everyone a heads up if you are thinking about getting a cage from this company- my experience with their customer service has been horrible. Not to add the added time and expense that it took from me and my father to get this cage.

Just in case you are wondering about the condition of the 2nd cage- it also is bent up and missing screws. I guess that I can't expect more from a company that shipped a cage from new jersey to California to a little town in colorado- then back tracked the 40 miles to another town in colorado and then subcontracted out the delivery to get the cage to me. When Oh my goodness- they could have used UPS and shipped the cage directly to my home for a cheaper cost then what they put out to begin with.

Thank you for letting me vent/share this story- just be careful if you decide to go with an A&E Cage.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear you're having so many problems. Will they not refund? Thanks for the heads up though!

Well now I know I will never buy direct from that company!!
I do like A&E cages and I do believe I have the same one you ordered for my Grey. Fortunately other companies carry the brand so you can get it without the hassle. I do have to say that the bigger the cage, the more likely to be a bit bend. Mine came a bit bent as well as all my other big cages. Wasn't too bad to go through the hassle to send it back. Sophie's cage weighs over 300lbs!!!! I have so many cages that I have extra screws that came with some of them in the event of missing crews fortunately as I have had that problem as well.

How about instructions to put the cage together??LOL But that's another story..... Roll Eyes

That is so frustrating to actually have waited a long time in anticipation and excitement of getting the best and finally get a real bad one.
