Are you, a resident of Michigan (also known as "the state up north") comfortable having a parrot that is scarlet and grey?  Huh I think it is great, but I live in Columbus!   Cheesy  Shocked  Wink

You got it.  Wink Do not dye your bird maize and blue!  And it is OK to not watch sports, too.

Ted, great photos, but the way I see Wasi's clipping, I think she can still easily fly so be very mindful of open windows and/or ceiling fans.

Ted, great photos, but the way I see Wasi's clipping, I think she can still easily fly so be very mindful of open windows and/or ceiling fans.

She is very shy about flying. (She never flies off her cage - unless I am asking her to step up.  And although she will flap her wings while on top of her cage she has never left it, yet.  I do realize that all it takes is a momentary panic, and she would go.)

I think if she "practiced" a bit with her clipping, she could really go.  No open windows are around her and no door opening to the outside is visible from where she is located.  Doors aren't left open, and she is almost always in her cage saying 'bye 'bye when we leave. Ceiling fans are usually off, and when on are at low speed, but I'll be prudent.  So, in spite of the uneven cut, and cutting the wrong feathers by the previous care giver, she is still very able to fly, you think?  Should the primaries have just been cut shorter, 2 cm shorter or so, for example?

The picture in the Florida Room may look like there are open windows.  There are window screens there, so she could chew through, but not fly through, a window.
