this morning waiting at the bus stop,i noticed on the other side of our wall what appeared to be an empty margerine tub with just a bit of grass. kids playing i thought so i emptied this tub only to see four tiny pink bodies tumble out onto the grass  Shocked Shocked

sadly three were already dead  Cry but one of them was still alive and wriggling about on the grass, omg i had to do something. i was going into town anyway so i called into the vets there and they recommended condensed milk and warm water and they gave me two syringes.

i've since done a search on baby mice and puppy/kitten milk was suggested also and to use an eye dropper instead of sryinge as it would be easier, one post said every two hours another said four  Undecided  he/she is now snuggled up in a box in my kitchen,he's had three feeds this afternoon and i'm hoping he can hold out until i get home. he was really cold dispite the hot weather.

i've christened him mickey, wish us both luck that he'll make it through the night.  Cry no tsure if i can do the night feeds i'll have to see. i'm sure he's more than a week old as he has some fur on his back and tail but his eyes arent open yet  Cry

i know this story is going to be hard to believe, but it actually happened.  Wish i caught it on tape.  I used to take my timmneh grey to work (did the accounting for our construction company), he was walking on the rug, and out of the corner of a cabinet comes a baby mouse, walking up to the bird, timmy chased (funny how birds walk, lol) him back to the cabinet, walked away, mouse comes walking back after him, back and forth this went for a good 10 min.  The whole time i am thinking what could possibly be going on in the mind of that baby mouse, and bird?  And yes, my husband was sitting other side of my desk watching it too, so wasnt just my imagination.  Cheesy

thanks all of you,it was so sad watching him fight for his little life. he must have been outside for at least one night and it had rained the night before. someone had either found the nest or disturbed the nest and for whatever reason (only god knows) left them near my wall. he'd had too much exposure to the weather but i knew i just couldnt leave him out there.  Cry
