I was in the kitchen late last night when i heard Bellino screeching, obviously i shot in to him and he calmed down, however, i went to check on him a few minutes later and he didnt look happy. I took him out and he sat on my hand growling and grumbling as if in pain, he was also trying to regurgitate. Everytime i tried touching him he screamed then he laid down on my hand and shut his eyes with his head at a funny angle but he kept waking up suddenly and trying to regurtitate, i watched for 15 mins then rang the vet. It was 1am in the morning but fortunately it was the avian vet on call. By the time we got there he seemed ok but then got stressed out by the vet and ended up reopening the wound on his chest in his panic and hurting his beak. The vet got some painkillers in him and offered to keep him overnight but as the vet himself isnt on site all night i brought him home as the stress of being in a strange room with strange noisy animals and the light on would have been bad for him.
Anyway, he had a good nights rest and is back to his usual self apart from the wound on his chest, thats really starting to worry me now, it happened months ago and was just about healed apart from the odd occasion when he tried to get onto the floor to follow me or was a bit stressed out.
Ive moved him from the travel cage into the smallest cage as he was fed up in the travel one, he was in there for weeks healing and its had no detriment on his wound.

Hes glued back together (again  Roll Eyes ) I  could hear him screaming while they did it and they had to pull off a great big clot/scab off the original wound and start again. He was fine in the waiting room, very cocky and blowing raspberries at the dogs, it was when he saw the vet the screaming started before he even touched him! Poor little guy, he was screaming in one room while i was crying listening to him in another.  Roll Eyes

So sorry to hear the Bellino is still under the weather.  Here's hoping he'll be back in the swing in no time.
