Last night Stuart and I were sitting at the kitchen table browsing the sale items in an online store... Christmas is coming... and the present ideas are pretty thin at the moment...

Anyway... Darwin was out with us, and at around 8 O'Clock he decided to go and eat supper in his cage. It got to about 8:30 and he started to make hissing noises... I got up to see what was wrong... he was not happy with me... didn't want to come out of his cage... and then I suddenly realised what was wrong... It was his bedtime and he was telling us in no uncertain birdy terms to get out of the room and turn the light off.

I covered his cage as usual and he started to calm down immediately.. we vacated the room and turned the light off... and he was happy...
It was because we had forgotten the time and been engrossed doing something that he had to tell us it was his bedtime... we always cover him and leave him in peace, around 8:30, so he gets a good nights rest.
I still say that Darwin is training us and not the other way round...
