I have just spent the last hour having to break into my own bird room brand new door, handle, door frame, plaster work (can't really tell blue off for that any more now ) all demolished! Why? Because the bloody workman didn't fit the door handle properly. I had to break in to get to them, the door frame flew off and petrified poor blue half to death!

I was more worried about the birds to be honest. Blue spends most of the day with the cage door open in that room. Goes in and out of it as he pleases but I like them all to be caged and covered at night for safety! I really had no other way but to break the door now poor echo seems to have reacted badly too guess we start again with him. Blue's just fine I bribed him with a bit of cheese, reassured him until he calmed down, bet he wondered what was happening when the door frame came off and flew across the room

Janie . I think a deep shade of angry red may have been more like it! Feika unforunately echo does think twice on these things. Something as simple as a loud bang puts him back to square one so I dread to think what this did to him

Come to think of it: "breaking the door, frame flying around". What are you, Iron lady, or credible hulk?

Blue's cheese bribe seems to have worked he still sits on top of the door so no affect there! Echo seems to have been resiliant on this occasion, i think the fact that his cage was partially covered buffered a lot of damage, thanks jules

Maybe Echo is just showing you that he is trusting you that all is okay, and is calm because he knows you will keep him from harm.
hugs Janie xxx
